★★★★★ "Perfect for both pre-trip planning and a travel companion for capturing your own adventures." – Kiwanis S., Florida

The view is easy to capture. The little things aren’t - the name of your guide, your first wildlife sighting, the tiny shop you stumbled into, the ticket tucked into your pocket, or the moment that made everyone laugh.

The Wilds of Alaska Travel Journal was created to give those moments somewhere to live. Part travel companion, part guided journal, and part keepsake, it’s filled with Alaska inspiration, thoughtful prompts, interactive experiences, and plenty of room to make it your own.

More Than a Souvenir - A Way to Hold Onto the Journey

Created in Alaska for travelers exploring Alaska, this journal helps you slow down, notice more, and preserve the stories behind the photos - before, during, and after your adventure.

What’s Inside the Journal

  • Guided Journal Prompts: Thoughtful prompts help you capture the moments, people, places, and little details you might otherwise forget - without ever feeling like homework.
  • A Mini Guide to 20 Cities & Ports: Local favorites and things to do at every stop, from Ketchikan to Fairbanks, in summer and winter, including northern lights and winter activities.
  • Wildlife Field Notes: Keep track of the wildlife you spot, where you saw it, and those unforgettable first sightings.
  • Interactive Experiences: Adventure Bingo, photo challenges, QR experiences, and other activities encourage you to look around, notice more, and explore Alaska beyond the page.
  • Space to Make It Yours: Add photos, ticket stubs, receipts, stickers, notes, sketches, postcards, and the little treasures you collect along the way.
  • Local Art & Photography: Discover work from Alaska artists and photographers throughout the journal, bringing even more of the place you're exploring onto the page.

Cities and Ports Inside:

Inside Passage: Ketchikan · Juneau · Skagway · Haines · Sitka · Icy Strait Point (Hoonah)

Anchorage & the Kenai Peninsula: Anchorage · Seward · Cooper Landing · Kenai · Soldotna · Kasilof · Homer

Mat-Su, Denali & the Interior: Palmer · Wasilla · Denali · Fairbanks

Cruising, taking the train, or road-tripping, your stops are in here.

Your Journal Should Never Compete With Your Vacation

You don’t need to fill pages every night or remember every detail.

Jot down the name of the tiny cafe. Save the ticket. Write down what made you laugh. Tuck away the receipt or postcard. Take the photo, jot down the memory and get back to your adventure.

Capture now. Reflect later.

When you’re ready, add the photos, finish the pages, and relive your Alaska adventure all over again.

Sometimes two minutes is all it takes to preserve a moment you’ll want to remember for years.

Questions Travelers Ask

I'm not really a journal person. Will I actually use it?
Many of our travelers aren't either. You don't need to write every night. Jot down the name of the café, tuck in the ticket, track the moose you spotted, and get back to your adventure. Two minutes is often all it takes. Fill in the rest when you're home.

Which places does it cover?
20 cities and ports, from Ketchikan and Juneau to Anchorage, the Kenai Peninsula, Denali, Fairbanks and Kodiak. The full list is above.

Does it work for a winter trip?
Yes. It covers summer and winter, including the northern lights and winter activities.

I'm taking a cruise. Is this the right journal?
The Wilds journal covers cruise ports and land stops, so it's a great fit if you're adding a land tour. Sailing only? Our 60-page Alaska Cruise Edition ($24.95) is built around cruise itineraries and port days.

When should I order?
Before you go. That's the whole point. We ship within 1–2 business days by Priority Mail from Alaska, so ordering at least 2 weeks before your trip gives you time to plan with it, too.

Is it a good gift if their trip isn't until next summer?
It's one of the best ones. They get to plan with it, look forward to it, and pack it on day one.

What should I write with?
We include our workshop-favorite smudge-free journaling pen with every journal.

Is it really made in Alaska?
Yes. It's designed and printed in Alaska by a women-owned Alaska business, and it's certified Made in Alaska. Look for the Buy the Bear logo on the back cover.
